The Reader's Journey is the first library-based program that combines the flexibility of a leveled library with comprehensive curriculum coverage for Grades 6-8. Students will learn and practice essential reading, writing, grammar, and vocabulary skills using a variety of reading passages.
- Informational texts with real-world connections, short passages, and longer passages provide a variety of literature for students to apply the skills they are learning.
- Writer's Workshops strengthen students' writing skills with tips, sample prompts, annotated student essays, and writing exercises.
- Lessons begin with suggestions to activate students' prior knowledge and enhance critical thinking.
- At the end of each unit, projects related to the Anchor Book provide hands-on activities for reinforcing understanding.
